Well, what can you say - it's King David, the best hotel in Jerusalem, where everybody stays. Celebrities since 1930-ies. From Stephen Howking to Metallica. Nice big rooms. Even the ones that don't face the Old Town, have a great view of the ymca tower. Swimming pool. Absolutely gorgeous breakfast - the best I've had anywhere in the world.
As in most expensive hotels, Internet is not free. Come on people!

The place is nice, and offers everything I need, like Wi-Fi, a poolside snack bar, and 24-hour reception. I still remember how the staff helped me locate my lost ID card on my first stay. Special thanks to Karawi for his really good service!

I truly enjoyed bountiful and enjoyable breakfast, magnificent views.
Had a really lovely stay for our last two nights of the trip & will choose the place for future trips. Newly renovated large room, a writing desk, a sitting area, and a terrace were appreciated. The property's location was amazing and absolutely perfect, in the smaller cafe...

After having been in some 5 star hotels in jerusalem, i expected more from king david, according to its reputation. Beautiful hotel, confortable, but not outstanding, specially, in cosideration of its prices. It is by far the most expensive hotel in jerusalem and for sure not the best one
The staff was not very friendly and helpful and i had an average room, outrageously expensive for what it was.

A Unique Experience in Historic Jerusalem
Our family enjoyed our stay, especially the good breakfast with a fantastic view of the city. We loved the spacious gardens for kids to play in, but dinner service could use some improvement. For those traveling with children, plan lunch ahead of time as options start late.

The view and its place history The pool area and terrace restaurant
Unfortunately the food in the main restaurant is dire - dirty curtains near our table very poor not to offer free wi fi in this day and age

The hotel and staff were marvelous. It is truly one of the world's great hotels. Channel 1 on the TV is a documentary on the hotel and its history which was very informative about the role of the hotel in the 6 Day War, the peace talks with Sadat, the ousting of the British from Jerusalem. It is also just a short walk to the Jaffa Gate of the Old City. Great place to stay and relax after a hard day of sightseeing, if one can afford it.

Great History and the signatures on the Lobby floor add to the glamour and heritage. Excellent Breakfast buffet and the restaurant staff were very attentive. We had magnificent views of the Old City from our room and felt this is indeed one of The Leading Hotels of the World.
Surprised that the dusting of our room was so poor in a hotel of this quality. I mentioned the dirt under the fridge door to the supervisor of chamber maids but no action was taken. The Sabbath evening meal was dreadful. The restaurant was packed but many people left their meals as it was inedible.. The quality of the chicken balls was like leather. The desert was ghastly. The only good thing on offer was the bread. Expensive and terrible. Would never eat in this restaurant ( apart from breakfast which is excellent) again unless there was a substantial improvement. We have never had such a poor quality meal in a 5 star establishment. A great disappointment.

We are spoilt tourists but still appreciate the King David. We like the atmosphere, and especially love the renovated new rooms, love their size which you don't have in newer hotels. Pity though that the breakfast is not outside as in the David Citadel but the pool at the kd is much nicer so you can't have it all , can you! Food was good on the terasse restaurant, though the service not tip top which is should be, not quite professional enough. I saw that some of the waiters english was a bit lacking...We live on the coast so appreciate a few days in the cool dry climate from time to time, shabbot as well, and love to come to you.
